Li amas legi pri historio, kaj tre ŝatas Napoleonon.

Birthdays and Easter.

Easter Sunday is tomorrow. Tomorrow is also my birthday! I will be 36 years old. My fiance's birthday is 4 days after mine. I bought him a computer game, 'Napoleon: Total War'. He loves reading about history, and really likes Napoleon. He owns all of the other Total War computer games; Rome: Total War, Shogun: Total War and Medieval: Total War. I gave the game to him early so he could play it over the Easter holidays!

I bought him a CD and DVD too, but I will give him those on his birthday, on Wednesday.

This morning we went to see Alice in Wonderland at the cinema. It was very good. One of the first Esperanto books I bought was 'La Aventuroj de Alicio en Mirlando' (The Adventures of Alice in Wonderland). I read it often to practice my pronunciation and reading. I still don't understand it all, though.

I hope you have a lovely Easter!

  1. "Paska ferioj" should be "paskaj ferioj". :)

"Mi ankaŭ aĉetis muzikan KD..." The accusative form of KD should be "KD-on" (pronounced "kodoon"). Actually, "lumdisko" (as recommended by SSV) is starting to become a popular and more logical alternative to the awkward Anglicism "KD". So maybe "muzikan lumdiskon" would be good here. (But "KD-on" is fine too if you prefer it).

"Ĉi-matene ni vidis..." This is ok, but "spektis" is slightly more descriptive than "vidis".

Frases in quotes (e.g. "Alicio en Mirlando")are not inflected for the accusative, so... ni spektis 'Alicio en Mirlando' (or if you feel the accusative is needed for clarity: ni spektis la filmon 'Alicio en Mirlando'). And also: 'La aventuroj de Alicio en Mirlando'.

  2. I wasn't sure how to write the accusative of an acronym, or if titles in quotes should take on the accusative ending, so thank you for clarifying both of those issues for me! 'Lumdisko' sounds a lot better than 'KD' so I'll use that term from now on.

Thanks so much for all your help!
