Gimnazia rekuniĝo

Miaj malnovaj amikoj de gimnazio organizas rekuniĝon je julio. Mi antaŭĝuas ĝin. Tamen estas ete malĝoje ĉar kelkaj amikoj mortis dum la lastaj dudek jaroj. Mi ĵus aŭdis ke amikino mortis pasintjare. Feliĉe, multaj amikoj vivas ĝue kaj naskis multajn infanojn de post gimnazio. Mi? Nenio ŝanĝas. Mi studis ĉe gimnazio kaj nur ĵus finis mian studadon ĉe universitato! Mi estas pli malnova kaj pli dika kaj havas kelkajn grizajn harojn. Estas bone, miajn gimnaziajn amikojn estas similajn!



High school reunion
My old friends from high school are organising a reunion in July. I'm looking forward to it. However, it is a bit sad because several friends have died during the last twenty years. I just heard that a female friend died in the last year. Fortunately many friends live happy lives and have had many children since high school. Me? Nothing changes. I studied at high school and I've only just finished my studies at university! I am older and fatter and have more grey hairs. That's okay, my school friends are in the same boat!

Ankoraŭ okupata!

Mi ĝuis malmultajn liberajn tagojn post mi submetis mian tezon. Mi jam komencis labori. Mi instruis mian unuan lecionon hodiaŭ. Mi instruas malsaman kurson ol la kurso de la lasta jaro. Lasta jaro mi instruis varomarkojn. Nun me instruas individuajn projektojn.

Still busy!
I enjoyed few free days after submitting my thesis. I've already started working. I taught my first lesson today. I am teaching a different class than last year's class. Last year I taught branding. Now I am teaching individual projects.

Mi finis mian tezon

Mi finfine finis mian tezon! Mi feliĉas. Kvankam, mi havas miksitajn emociojn. Kiam mi submetis mian tezon al la reserĉa oficejo, mi ekploris. Mi ploris dum unu horo ĉar kvar jaroj de emocioj eksplodis subite. Nun mi provas ne pensi pri mia tezo. Mi ŝatus ŝajnigi ke la lastaj kvar jaroj ne okazis.

Mia doktoreca instruisto havas aliajn ideojn. Ŝi volas min skribi reserĉajn gazetajn artikolojn el la tezaj ĉapitroj. Mi nun ne volas eĉ rigardi la tezon! Mi nur volas drinki kaj ludi Sims-on!


I finished my thesis
I finally finished my thesis! I am happy. However, I have mixed emotions. When I submitted my thesis to the research office I started to cry. I cried for an hour because four years of emotions suddenly exploded. Now I'm trying not to think about my thesis. I would be happy to pretend that the last four years never happened.

My doctoral supervisor has other ideas. She wants me to write research journal articles from the thesis chapters. Right now I don't want to even look at my thesis! I just want to drink and play Sims!

Pluaj libroj!

Mi aĉetis pluajn librojn per Universala Esperanto-Asocio (UEA). Mi estis nervoza ĉar la mendo estis tute en Esperanto, sed mi estis malpli nervoza ol mia lasta mendo. La libroj alvenis hieraŭ kaj mi estas tre ĝoja!

Mi aĉetis la librojn ‘La Mastro de L'Ringoj’, ‘La Hobito’, ‘Baza Esperanta Radikaro’ kaj ‘Comprehensive English-Esperanto Dictionary’ (Multampleksa La Angla/Esperanta Vortaro). Mi deziris la Tolkien-ajn librojn ĉar mia fianĉo estas granda ŝatanto de Tolkien. Mi esperas ke tiuj libroj voligos lin lerni Esperanton!

Mi pagis multe da mono por la libroj, sed ili estas tre bonaj do ili estas pagindaj.

Nun mi devu lerni sufiĉa Esperanto por legi ilin!


More books!

I bought more books from the Universal Esperanto Association (UEA). I was nervous because the order was completely in Esperanto, but I was less nervous than my last order. The books arrived yesterday and I'm very happy!

I bought the books The Lord of the Rings;, The Hobbit, Basic Esperanto Root Words and ‘Comprehensive English-Esperanto Dictionary’. I wanted the Tolkien books because my fiance is a huge fan of Tolkien. I'm hoping that these books make him want to learn Esperanto!

I paid a lot of money for the books, but they are very good so they're worth paying for.

Now I have to learn enough Esperanto in order to read them!

Mi panikas

Mi devos liveri mian tezon al mia universitato je venontsemajna mardo. Mi panikas. Mia dokoteco-instruisto ankoraŭ havas mian tezon. Mi baldaŭ finos la desegnojn de la retejo kaj 3D-aj movbildoj. Hodiaŭ mi sekurkopias miajn komputilajn dosierojn. Mi dormas malbone kaj mi havas ankscieco-atakojn. :-(

I am panicking

I have to hand in my thesis to my university on Tuesday week. I'm panicking. My doctoral supervisor still has my thesis. I will soon finish the designs for the website and 3D animations. Today I'm backing up my computer files. I'm sleeping poorly and having anxiety attacks. :-(

Mi atendis kaj atendis kaj atendis

I waited and waited and waited

Mi donis mian tezon al mia doktoreco-instruisto pasintsemajno, sed mi ankoraŭ atendis aŭdi ŝian opinion pri ĝin. Mi trovis ŝin hieraŭ kaj mi demandis kion ŝi pensis pri mia tezo. Ŝi respondis ke ŝi ankoraŭ ne ekkomencis legi ĝin! Se mi konus, mi povus daŭrigi redaktadon dum la tuta pasintsemajno!

I gave my thesis to my doctoral supervisor last week, but I was still waiting to hear her opinion about it. I found her yesterday and asked what she thought about my thesis. She replied that she still hadn't started reading it! If I'd known that I could have kept editing during the last week!

Do hodiaŭ ŝi legas mian tezon. Mi esperas ke ŝi ŝatas ĝin.

So today she is reading my thesis. I hope that she likes it.

Mi ankoraŭ lernas la nederlandan. Mi uzas Livemocha-n, kie mi ankaŭ lernas Esperanton. Tiu retejo estas tre bone por lerni prononcon. Oni surbendigas, dum oni legas tekston. Tiam spertaj uzantoj aŭskultas onian surbendigon kaj ili donas komentojn kaj korektojn.

I am still learning Dutch. I am using Livemocha, where I also learn Esperanto. That website is great for learning pronunciation. You record yourself reading a text. Then experienced users listen to your recording and they provide comments and corrections.

Mi finis du taskojn hieraŭ kaj ricevis komentojn hodiaŭ. Bone, sed kun kelkaj eraretoj. Mi feliĉas pri tio!

I completed two tasks yesterday and received comments today. Good, but with a few small errors. I'm happy about that!

Mi ankoraŭ lernas Esperanton tie. Estas malfacile lerni du lingvojn samtempe. Mi ne havas multe da tempo. Sed mi ĝuas.

I am still learning Esperanto there. It's not easy to learn two languages at once. I have very little time. But I'm enjoying it!

Mi nun lernas du lingvojn

Februaro estas la Granda Lingva Lernanta Provaĵo. Ĉar mi jam lernadis Esperanton, mi elektas alian lingvon por lerni. Mi ĉiam volis lerni la nederlandan lingvon ĉar la familio de mia patro venis el Nederlando. Do mi lernos la nederlandan lingvon dum februaro.

I am now learning two languages

February is the Great Language Learning Challenge. Because I've already been learning Esperanto, I've chosen another language to learn. I've always wanted to learn Dutch because my father's family comes from the Netherlands. So I will learn Dutch.

At the end of February I have to say on YouTube in Dutch:
